Something here for everyone, large car park, a birdwatchers paradise, miles of unspoilt beaches, beachcombing, shear cliffs, a boardwalk for disabled access to the beach, a visitors centre, cliff walks, grave robbers, clean toilets, roe deer, a barn sale open everyday of the year, squirrels, pony treking, picnic areas, salmon fishing, smugglers, its all free!
An easy walk starting off near the clifftop cemetery to Elephant Rock down to an abandoned fishing town. Walk details and how to get here to be added here soon.
A nice easy walk with great views of the sea. From the high street, take bus # 47 or drive towards Ferryden. Head towards the very end of the main street to the carpark area. The lighthouse is well signposted, cars not allowed. Easy walk or cycle to the lighthouse with great view of Montrose Beach and oncoming ships to the harbour.
