Montrose is conveniently located on the east coast of Scotland close to the A92 coast road that runs from Stonehaven to Dundee via Montrose and Arbroath, whilst inland the A90 dual carriageway runs north from Dundee to Aberdeen. Montrose is served by the East Coast railway, with regular services to Aberdeen and to the south. Rail Journey Times - Dundee 30mins, Aberdeen 40mins, Edinburgh 2hrs, Glasgow 2hrs. There are also Trains to London 6.5hrs and sleeper trains at night.

Dundee Airport is close-by, with a range of domestic and European flights and a direct flight to London City Airport. Aberdeen airport is the closest from other London Airport flights while international flights are via Glasgow and Edinburgh airport.
